Easter 1996 I attended my first meeting at new covenant my (now) sister in law wanted me to check out this log church that she wanted to be married in. Before New Covenant I spent 20 years as a full blown achIolic I drank a case of beer everyday had been involved in gangs and drugs in chicago. I had known breif periods of sobriety as I would go to church from time to time one church we went to in Phoenix Az Brenda and I were baptized together. When we came up out of the water someone was speaking in tongues over us then the interpretation came God said I am the Lord your God I have redeemed you I stand before you with open arms look to me every morning be thankful every evening and your days will be days of heaven on earth. After leaving there I started drinking again and continued until easter 1996 we went to church at New Covenant and Tim was preaching and he said the same word we heard over twenty years ago that God was standing before us with open arms those words hit Brenda like a ton of bricks, but me I went home cracked open a cold beer and continued drinking Well new covenant was having a worship service that night and my soon to be brother in law came and ask me if I wanted to go he said if you go I'll go so we loaded up the car. I drove to church half drunk and God touched me that night I was instantly delivered from my addiction and was sober. Over twenty years later and still sober God did for me what no program could ever do. We have served under Tim and Diane's leadership since then Jesus has indeed changed my life he has given many songs to me, some we do in church but most are just for him. I lead worship at the the church one of many things that I love to do for God's Kingdom. There is so much more that I could write My father has been so good to me life may not be perfect but He makes it worth living.

My husband Todd and I were blessed to be the missionary guests at New Covenant AOG. Pastor Tim, Diane and the entire congregation made us feel welcomed!

God's anointing comes when we worship here. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere; It is finally a place to call home!
